The Gospel in Progress

We're working on teaching Caleb the Gospel. He still has some concepts to iron out!

Here is a conversation that took place in our house this morning:

Me: Caleb, God doesn't want you to be angry. God wants you to choose to have a happy heart. Mommy read in her Bible this morning that Christ died to sin so that we can be slaves to obedience which leads to righteousness. Caleb, God says {cue little diddy that I made up to help teach the concept} Throw away your ______

Caleb: SIN

Me: and clothe yourself with _______

Caleb: WITE WITE NESS! (righteousness)

Me: Very good, Caleb. Mommy has to put on righteousness. Daddy has to put on righteousness. Caleb needs to put on righteousness. And Elliott needs to put on righteousness.

~~~brief pause~~~

Caleb: Elliott, NO! Elliott no wite wite ness. Elliott put on powder!

Next weeks lesson: Romans 3:23--All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Even Elliott!
